I got this tattoo because I love blackwork tattoos, and plan on getting more. This being the first I thought I would go with the most bold. A reverse cross, to symbolize my distaste with religion, and my overall rebellion against it.

I feel bad for you because an upside down cross is in fact the cross of Saint Peter, the first pope. He asked to be crucified on a cross upside down because he wasn’t worthy enough to die the same way as Jesus did.
So your symbol to show your disdain of religion is actually showing respect to God.

Well that’s awkward.

This is something that really drives me nuts about tattoos and the judgement that someone gets from other people. This person got a tattoo because s/he thought that it looked awesome (which it definitely does), and it has a meaning. THIS PERSON’S OWN PERSONAL MEANING. like, who gives a shit if it’s “wrong.” it looks great and this person doesn’t need to take your shit. /rant
